Who we are

Smokefree Idaho is a group of organizations and individuals who support making all public and work places 100% smokefree in order to protect all workers from the dangers of second hand smoke.

Idaho’s first step in protecting workers from second-hand smoke occurred five years ago with passage of a state statute that prohibited smoking in restaurants and most work places. Today, Smokefree Idaho is taking the next step to make all workplaces, including bars, free of smoke. With more than 5,000 petition signatures, Smokefree Idaho is working with cities across the state to pass laws to protect all workers in the state from exposure to second-hand smoke.
